Lazy-itis to an art form!
Is it 10 o'clock? No? then GO AWAY.
Big, BIG yawn. (with accompanying sound effects)
You know I'm the dog who doesn't 'do' mornings!
Wake me up when the streets are aired.

Got Mum out with camera ... at last.
My goodness its a long time since my last update. Dad doesn't take a camera when we go for walks, so I have to get Mum out, and that can be a bit difficult when its cold!
The other day it was windy, and I just love the wind. I get so excited I rush around and my ears flap up and down.
We started out in the field behind our house. Its a pretty big field, but I can manage to reach the other side before Mum can get the camera out. That speck in the distance is me!
She tried to photo me running back, but I move so fast that by the time she could get me I was almost on top of her. Told you I can move fast! See the wind lifting the ears? I love that.
If we go all the way across our field, we come to Riverside Park. That is where a lot of my mates hang out.
This little pudgy pug has to stand on his back legs to say hello. He's good fun though, you wouldn't think a little barrel like that could run, but he can, and he does. In small circles he can keep up with me, but when I reach the straight and go through the hedge to the next field I leave him behind. He's not dim, though, he waits by the gap and gets me as I dash back.
Nice game.
These two are a bit old to play, but they are good for a bit of a chat and their Dad is good for a few biscuits. Nice to see them.
... and there is Roxy. My but that girl is hairy. You should see her in the river - but dont stand too close when she come out again or you will
get a shower! Why the lead Roxy? Oh, you have been to the Vet and have stitches in your face. I thought you were growing a moustache! Nothing to worry though, you just cant go in the river until the stitches are out. Okay. Next time, huh?
All that running about makes me thirsty. Lucky we have the river so I can get a good drink.
Mind you, its a bit chilly this time of year so its a quick drink and out again. No hanging around.
Mum says these mean that Spring is well on the way.
I reckon that mole hills are much more interesting.

I'm always hoping that one may pop its snout out, but it never does. Mum says I wouldn't really want to meet one cos they can be quite fierce.
...er ...dont tell Mum I ate that!
All that running about quite tired me out.
Time for a snooze.

Holidays!
This is a picture of the dog-walk field. Now I could get used to that, no problem at all.
I hope that dog lives there, so that I have someone to play with.
I understand that there is also a bar-b-que so I'll have to make sure that Dad takes plenty of sausages. I do try to talk him into steaks, but I aways end up with sausages. Still never mind, I wont turn my nose up at a sausage or three.
There are dog-friendly beaches in Devon. The folks are going to find one for me, so I can have a little paddle and do some digging.
Aw well, excitement over for the moment, its time for my afternoon nap.

Christmas over - life goes on.
I do like it when people come visiting, especially Carolyn because she is always good for at least an hour of solid tummy scratching and ear rubs.
Carolyn sits on my settee. She doesn't mind sitting on my covers, and isn't a bit fussy about getting a few hairs on her clothes. A very sensible lady with a magic touch.
I love Carolyn.
I think that Mum should put up a picture of me just inside the front door, with the words " I live here. If you dont want my hairs on your clothes dont sit on my furniture".
Or, how about "This house is dog hair friendly". Just so that visitors know where we stand from the beginning. That should weed out the whingers.
I helped take down the Christmas decorations. Every time Mum kneeled down to do anything I put my head on her shoulder and licked her nose. If she laughs I put both paws on her shoulders and push. She goes over, I jump on her and rough her up a bit. She says I'm a hooligan. I think its great fun.
Well, that's it. I'm totally exhausted after all that. Nap time. Time for forty-winks. After all, a girl needs her beauty sleep if she is to stay looking gorgeous.

Its Christmas! YEAHHHHHH
Oh my. Oh my goodness, He's BEEN! How did he do that? How did he sneak past me?
I was watching out for him. When I went out on a bathroom call at 3.30 I stood scanning the sky for a while to see it I could catch a glimpse of his reindeer and sleigh. No luck.
But all the time that sneaky Santa must have been lurking so he could put my stocking there on the bed.
Well, never mind the how of it, lets see what is IN it.
But first lets investigate this parcel. It looks and smells most interesting.
Yeah, I know who sent it. Its a new toy. One that will outlast all the others.
Thanks, First Dad.

Yo! a stuffed toy. A squeaky Santa. I'll make him squeak all right.
I'll destuff him later.
And treats! Lots of treats. I manage to get one out of each pack before Mum spirits them away to put in my treats box.
This is so exciting. My tails is wagging so much Dad says its likely to drop off! No chance.
Let me in there. I want to see what's down the bottom.
I'll find that squeak.
And bite his legs ...
Its all been so exciting, and I've played and played while the folks have dodged about with that stupid camera.
.... and its plain tired me out. I need a quick forty-winks to charge up my batteries so I can help out with the turkey later.
A VERY HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO ALL.
Love Callie

Christmas is coming.
Its beginning to smell a lot like Christmas! My nose is never mistaken. So, I'm volunteering for extra kitchen duties.
This is my 'oh do let me help you, Mum' look. A smiggin of whining accompanies it. Starting out very quietly and gradually rising in volume.
... and it ALWAYS works! Mum is a pushover for tidbits.
Dad is a bit harder nut to crack - I manage to overcome his resistance in the end, but it takes a bit more work.
Waiting for Santa.
