A nice fine day for a walk

I've decided that I'm quite keen on our new wheels.  There is much more room for me to stretch out, and with a nice thick chinese rug topped with a softie thingie, I shall be quite comfy all the way to Devon for our holiday in May.

Well, I'm ready for the walk, oh do come on you two.  I've been waiting for simply AGES ... well all of 30 seconds ....

So many smells and so little time ....

I'm sure something really interesting went this way not so long ago ...

...and if I follow the trail, I'm sure to catch up with it eventually.

...oh delightful ... a fox ... I'm sure it was a fox ... now are they watching or can I get away with a quick roll in this?

and there is some nice long cover down here, just right for pheasants.  I love creeping up on pheasants, they make a whole lot of clacking and whirring when the fly off in a panic ...

Doesn't seen to be any pheasants at home today, still maybe a field mouse or three?  They are fun too, they scat in all directions and I'm kept busy leaping up and down trying to catch one.  No luck so far but its fun trying.

The woods are great.  There is a thick carpet of leaves for me to kick up as I run and masses of places to hide while they look for me.  There is even a stream running thrrough.  I found the wettest, muddiest, boggiest patch of sludge to go paddle in.  Dad was so pleased.

Mum was too busy taking a pic of silly flowers to notice me getting my legs black ... but it washed off in the clean bit of stream by the bridge which I showed you in my last blog.

By the time we had walked all the way back to the wheels I was quite dry again.
